Most of the songs you can hear on this record I wrote during the actual recording of ‘Raincheck’.

Although the songs to appear on ‘Raincheck’ had already been chosen, I didn’t want to put those new songs into the same old drawer, where already billions of ideas float around just waiting to be picked up again and maybe be recorded for another CD sometime...
So we decided to do something “different” and made an acoustic record, which was inspired by a few unplugged shows we do occasionally.

The mentionable thing, what makes this unplugged CD be different from all the others out there, would be that it doesn’t contain already published Crack’n Up’s songs, but predominantly material nobody has ever listened to before! Those songs will lead you through emotional ups and downs and in some of them I share quite a few pretty personal feelings I had. We also guide you through a few stories friends of ours went through. I’ll leave it to the listener to decide which songs I mean. But to be honest, writing this record has been some sort of therapy. It kept me from going crazy at times... and I am thankful to have such an ability to write things off my chest.

I’d like to thank Jan and Duck for being the best friends, the best bandmates and the most fun people I ever worked and toured with! You guys are the shit!

To all you crazy crackies out there: No worries! This is NOT the new direction Crack’n Up’s will go. It’s just something different, something beautiful...
We already got serious plans for a new killer CD(!) and can't wait to crank it up way loud and hit our instruments as hard as humanly possible!!!

Last but not least, I’d like to thank YOU for having either bought this album or reading this or both... It means a lot to all of us that we’re doing something people find interesting! More then you’ll ever know... deep love,
